Technical Business Analyst

The opportunity

Due to the requirement for maternity cover, we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our IT Development team based in Blackburn on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the role

As part of the team you will be responsible for identifying, implementing and reviewing a range of technical and process improvements to drive continuous increases in productivity across the business. Some notable projects you’ll be involved in from the outset will be a new ERP system to better track and document activities, as well as a new reporting system for our Environmental, Social & Governance obligations. Due to the nature of the company you will be collaborating with and acting as a core liaison between a diverse range of teams and professions in addition to working closely with key stakeholders and 3rd parties.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Business System Lead you will be responsible for:

  • Interviewing departments and working collaboratively to create process maps
  • Identifying quick wins in existing processes / systems and working with key stakeholders to improve processes
  • Documenting a project’s business and technical requirements
  • Evaluating ways of implementing software products into business operations
  • Gathering requirements and acceptance criteria from management and end users
  • Acting as the liaison between the IT Department and the wider business to work towards the wider strategic goals of the business
