Since joining Vital I have gained: Associate status at CIBSE, Incorporated Engineering status with the Engineering Council, CITB Site Management Safety qualification, Site Environmental Awareness qualification. I am also a qualified first aider. I have undertaken roughly 35 hours of CPD lectures. I have learnt how to: manage Engineering tasks and arrange labour, manage safe working on site,  select and size Energy Centre plant, build tender letters, host meetings and how to manage documents.

Can you talk me through the support you’ve had while you’ve been here?

I have had a mentor who met with me regularly to support me through the scheme by ensuring I completed my training objectives and who helped me achieve my ACIBSE IEng. My Director has been the main driving force behind the Graduate Training Scheme and is very encouraging. I have had supportive line managers who ensure I am continuously learning and ticking off my learning objectives.

What would you say your biggest achievement to date is?

Managing the delivery of my own package of works on site.
