It's a really fun atmosphere to work in. You work with some of the best people in the industry and learn something new every day. It will be the best decision you make.
Jay Patel, Energy & Commercial AnalystAt Vital Energi we employ one of the most experienced and highly-qualified workforces in the market. If you join us you’ll be working side-by-side with the people who installed the UK’s oldest and largest district heating schemes in Sheffield, Nottingham and London and are responsible for some of the UK's first major heat networks and renewable energy projects in the UK. This is a legacy which stretches back almost three decades.
The health wellbeing of our staff is our priority and we foster an open door policy to encourage our staff to talk to us when they need to. We regularly hold tool box talks on site to ensure engineers and staff off site have the opportunity to talk about their feelings and get the support they need.
We recently invested in The Energi Hub, which is our on-site gym, giving staff free access to all equipment as well as offering class sessions.
We nurture talent to its full potential in the ever-changing nature of our industry. We recognise that people learn in different ways and are interested in different things, and believe there is something for everyone in our portfolio of solutions. Whether you learn best from online resources, mentoring, coaching, videos, training or our development programmes you’ll find that our solutions and expertise are industry leading quality.
The real energy behind Vital are our people and it’s their talent and dedication that sets us apart from competition. We believe in the continuous development in our people through training and professional development. Our success is built on our workforce, we take every opportunity to recognise talent and nurture it to its full potential. Our philosophy allows our staff to progress, many of our current directors began their careers as engineers. We pride ourselves on developing people, the communities we operate in, the clients we serve and the environment within which we live.
We celebrate our people at a star-studded annual awards ceremony, recognising their remarkable achievements from the previous year and rewarding them for it. It’s our way of demonstrating our appreciation to employees and honour them for their hard work across seven key areas:
We are looking for passionate and dedicated graduates and apprentices who want to be part of a company which is helping to shape the future of energy provision in the UK.
Today’s graduates will one day be our future senior designers, contract managers and even board members. We have fantastic opportunities throughout the UK for anyone who wants to join a company and are fully committed to ensuring that they reach their full potential. Our graduate programme has recruited over 42 graduates to date and many have made fast progress through the company to advance in areas such as marketing, finance, design, engineering, commercial, quantity surveying, operation and maintenance, analysis and many more.
We are looking for talented students, with a proactive and committed attitude, who have (or are predicted to imminently attain) a high grade Bachelor or Masters Degrees with a passion for the energy industry.
We have one of the most experienced workforces in the industry and we actively support the transference of knowledge and mentoring by pairing newer talent with our more experienced members of our workforce. This can be done formally, through initiatives such as our Graduate Training Programme or informally through work assignment.
