Our work on block A of Berkeley Homes’ prestigious Oval Village development in Central London is taking shape, and occupants are expected to move from September this year. We’re pleased to be ahead of programme in two out of five cores of the building.
We’ve installed the HIUs within each of the 344 apartments and have seen huge progression with corridor and apartment utility cupboards. We’ve also installed the mechanical pipework, electrical containment, and electric wiring (data, fire alarm, small power, and lighting), within the corridors.
Over the last couple of months our mechanical fitters have been working on our temporary energy centre, which will be feeding two blocks over the course of the next few years before a permanent energy centre will replace it on a future phase.
We are also currently completing our BMS installation and gas pipework which will be feeding our boilers within the energy centre. Water treatment and commissioning is to be carried out over the next few weeks.
The next major milestone will be the chillers arriving next Friday and lifted onto the roof by crane, before they’re installed and commissioned. We’ll also be preparing for having heat on to apartments later on this year.
